Michael McGee serves as Work For Warriors Mississippi’s Career Technical Specialist. After serving in the Army for 24 years, Michael continued to serve his community as a pastor at his local church.

After a bit of time, Michael started as the Veterans Outreach Coordinator at The University of Southern Mississippi, earning his Master’s Degree in Human Capital Development,  which led him to his current position with Work For Warriors Mississippi eight years later.

As a Career Technical Specialist, Michael provides transitional services to assist service members with a workforce career. Some of the industries he assists with are commercial driving, industrial, and trade jobs.

Michael utilizes his previous experience at USM to develop and maintain relationships with universities, trade schools, career technical centers, school districts and state apprenticeship offices. He evaluates and develops programming that aligns with the service member population and workforce trends.

The most fulfilling part of Michael’s job is that he can help people find meaningful employment and create relationships that last a long time.
