This month, Work for Warriors Mississippi is proud to feature Jeffery “Jeff” Isabell in our Team Member Spotlight. Over the years, he has served as an Employment Coordinator while drawing more than 30 years of experience providing employment support for military families on the Gulf Coast. His dedication has helped countless service members and veterans navigate the transition into civilian careers.
Serving the Gulf Coast
The region Jeff supports includes six counties along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This area is home to a wide variety of industries such as government and military, tourism, shipbuilding, and aerospace. Each of these fields provides unique opportunities for veterans who are ready to apply their military skills to the civilian workforce.
Community Involvement
Beyond career placement, Work for Warriors Mississippi is more than a career resource because it is also a strong community partner. Through events like Coffee with a Veteran, Military One Coast events, Friends of Stennis, Armed Forces Retirement Home, Salute to the Military, Wounded Warrior Program, and Gulf Coast Chamber activities, Jeff plays an active role in building connections that support veterans. These events strengthen relationships with employers and help service members connect to meaningful career opportunities.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Jeff’s role is guiding veterans as they translate their military skills into civilian employment. Most importantly, he values the process of working with employers to identify open positions and pairing them with service members who bring discipline, leadership, and technical expertise. This not only benefits individual veterans but also strengthens the Gulf Coast workforce as a whole.
